    Good questions

    Questions parents ask

What ages does Playce Academy serve?

Classes serve ages 5 through 17 today, grouped by age and ability, with younger age bands coming. Tell us your athlete's age on the interest list form and we'll shape class groups around who signs up.

Which classes are running or launching first?

Our first classes are running in fall 2026 through a partnership with a Tampa-area homeschool co-op (enrollment for those is through the co-op). Public class times are being finalized and are announced to interest-list families first, before anything opens to the public.

    Is parkour appropriate for beginners?

Yes — classes are built on structured progressions, so nobody attempts a skill they haven't earned the prerequisites for. Athletes use soft portable equipment at low working heights and learn to assess a challenge and work within their current ability. Class placement is based on age, readiness, and available schedule.

    How large are classes?

Classes are deliberately small-group, so every athlete gets coached — not supervised. Exact class sizes are published with each class when enrollment opens.

Can Step Up scholarship funds be used?

Playce Academy is an approved Step Up For Students provider (PEP and FES-UA). Scholarship funds may cover the full cost of classes. Eligibility for each purchase is determined by Step Up For Students under the applicable purchasing guide — confirm coverage through your EMA account before enrolling.

What happens when Florida weather makes class unsafe?

Classes are held outdoors. If lightning, heavy rain, or unsafe heat is expected, Playce Academy will notify families before class whenever reasonably possible, and a class we cancel is made right — the exact make-up and credit policy is published with enrollment.

    Is there a contract?

Planned pricing is month to month with no long-term contract. Final fees and any promotions are confirmed when enrollment opens — interest-list families see them first.

What does joining the interest list commit me to?

Nothing. Joining is free and creates no payment obligation — it saves your priority spot and gets you class-time announcements, priority enrollment before public registration opens, and the first location announcement.

Can a homeschool co-op request a dedicated class?

Yes. Check “our co-op wants this” on the form and tell us the co-op's name — we can bring a dedicated parkour and structured movement class to your group.

    Where will classes be held?

Outdoors in the Carrollwood / North Tampa area. Exact approved locations are announced to interest-list families before enrollment opens.
